Space (Traditional, Newspace) - Aerial imaging
Our CMOS image sensors deliver high performance for both traditional and NewSpace missions, as well as aerial imaging, ensuring reliability in the most demanding environments.
How does Pyxalis contribute to Space and Aerial imaging ?
Pyxalis has been actively involved in the traditional space market for several years and is proud to collaborate with leading French and European developers of spaceborne optical payloads for both commercial missions and research programs, including those led by the European Space Agency.
As a strategic industrial partner, Pyxalis supports the aerospace sector, particularly defense and institutional stakeholder, by delivering state-of-the-art imaging solutions backed by a secure and sovereign supply chain.
The company also maintains strong ties with academia and research institutions, working on various projects in partnership with Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), the Grenoble University Space Center (CSUG), and the Institute of Planetology and Astrophysics of Grenoble (IPAG).
In addition, Pyxalis has expanded into the NewSpace market by developing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) detectors and imaging solutions. This includes collaborations with a diverse range of companies, from startups to major aerospace firms.
The space sector aligns closely with two of Pyxalis’ core values: people safety and environmental stewardship.
Pyxalis’ technologies support a wide range of space applications, including Earth observation for surveillance and reconnaissance, high-resolution imaging for environmental monitoring, agriculture, and disaster management, as well as deep space exploration. This includes imaging systems for spacecraft and planetary rovers, star trackers, space situational awareness, and aerial imaging for topographic and geographic mapping.
